Registered Nurses require at least an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or a bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN). In addition, Registered Nurses are expected to pass the standard NCLEX-RN certification exam.
On average, Registered Nurses earn $33,000 a year, although salaries can vary based on specialization, location, and education. Many Registered Nurses go on to become Nurse Practitioners.
